Throughout the year the South Wales Kitcar Club gets together for planned events outside of the normal club monthly meeting.
Most of the tribe make the yearly circuit around the National Shows to display the love of their lives , and even take their better half along.
The let your hair down event of the year is undoubtedly the summer Bar-B-Que which is held on the beach at Ogmore on Sea, where everyone kicks the sand around and enjoys a day of Gluttony…..
The Inter club , open warfare , Quiz against the Marches Car Club with Eric and the gang usually proves to be an eventful day , although it is rumoured that the Marches club gets in training early for the event by hitting the steroids and activating the grey matter with copius amounts of the amber nectar given the slightest excuse.The stewards of the meeting intend to introduce doping checks in future to ensure that all bribes meet the prescribed level of enormity…….

For the more adventurous of the gang a winter break weekend away from the normality of life to indulge themselves in a second childhood seems to get their get up and go going more quickly, although the Saturday morning , well nearer midday actually , usually shows the ones with poor stamina , when the got up and go has got up and went.!!
As far as the treasure hunts come evening picnics go the screams and pleas for a competent navigator usually start the week before, and if all else fails then the better half gets volunteered to sit in the co-pilots seat. Suddenly all the wives and girl friends seem to think they will be sitting next to the dreaded "Maureen "behind the wheel.
The plan this year is to reduce the remaining couch potatoes to quivering heaps of " the brown stuff " rather than let them pomade the air with stale " brewers atoms ".
